Make an Access Point for Android device; Internet sharing, File sharing.
The USB port of my Android device was damaged, I cannot make a copy of my data from the Internal SD card to my PC. I was thinking many way, try to find the way to backup my data.
For a month, I was out town, there's no access point I can use to transfer via WIFI.
Here's a way I use to transfer my files from Internal SD card.
Things we need:
- Connectify (Free editon was enough)
http://www.connectify.me/ - Window 7
- File Export (Androd app; Free on Android Market)
- Install the Connectify; you might need to restart the window once
- Connectify free/list version you can only set the access point name with the prefix 'Connectify-'
- After restarted; you may set the password for you access point, at least 8 character needed.
- Select Internet to "Wireless Network Connection" as there's no LAN connection here. If your PC has the Internet connection this will tell the program to use the internet via which device (LAN/WIFI)
- Click 'Start Hotspot'
- Go to Android device:
- For a few minute; you might found the new AP listed in your Android device.
- Connect the Android to 'Connectify-XX'
- Open the File Expert app
- Open the Network share via FTP; FTP Sharing
- The program will give you an information URL, username, password to make an access.
